Beautifully detailed Andree and a very brave venture even if you did use the top end of that lens. I shoot people and pets at 24mm and I know how close I am to them. Swans can break a human arm with the power of their wings. I love the little cluster of feathers in the water following the bird's preening session. Great effects applied in postwork and an altogether remarkable composition....Well done to you sweetie. Best wishes....Ray

This is fantastic... I love the use of subdued colours... adds some winter looking frosting to the grass... & to catch those feathers on the water!!!! The detail & sharpness here are spot on.... prize winner for sure.
Bet this was one of those captures you get all excited about because you just know its going to be something great.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I manipulated the color of the background in PS. I also did the usual post digital processing to adjust the values in the image. The photograph was taken at close range using a Nikkor Zoom 12-24 mm set at 24 mm. Best regards, Andree

I am impressed by the details. This image almost look like a painting. Did you manipulated this in PS or is this shot straight from the camera?

You made this image so difficult for me to comment on.
You know how bad my English is))))))))) Really very impressive piece of photograph, there are bits and pieces of that lovely swan all over the foreground adding a wonderful feel that it has over ruled this place with very powerful influence. You did a great job with the exposure here and the image is so sharp and beautiful with its colors. I have to say here, that I did enjoy every second while viewing this fantastic work of yours. Have my best regards and wish’s.
