About Taken from just outside the restaurant of my hotel where they had a water hole to attract the wild animals. I actually stopped my meal part way through to go and take this shot. Even though these are wild giraffes, I have not included this in my “Safari Shots” portfolio because I shot it on the hotel grounds, rather than out in the park itself.

Thank you for your comment Lana.

Yes it is unfortunate that I missed the feet, but as you can see they were moving at the time so I did my best with the situation I was presented with. If you like giraffes the most, you might want to check out my shot entitled “Jerome”: http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1140309

All the best,
Ed

I love what you captured them both in their going down position. Beautiful photo. However, I wish the feet were not cut off. But, having just gone on Safari in Tanzania, I know how hard it is to get everything perfect, the animals are so unpredictable. Giraffes are my favorite, but I had the most trouble shooting them.

Great shot of these two, Ed, and I like the way you'v also captured the water splashing up! They look so awkward and gangly! Great focus and clarity!
Dave.

Edward, thank you so much for your beautiful images. The children wait for my arrival each day so we can check out what else they can recognise in your portfolio. I start work in half an hour and can't wait to show them this one. The legs are hilarious. The preschoolers haven't seen the yawn yet, the under 2 year olds marvelled at the teeth. Thanks again. Cathy

Thank you for your comment Shirley.

Although the meal was very good, I anticipated a shot that was worth leaving it for. I wasn't disappointed.

All the best,
Ed
