Thanks so much for the comment Sheila! While I like the night shots at the port . . . since they bring out the sense of adventure innate in all boys of any age (like pirates--LoL!) . . . I have to agree that the blur for effect project seemed perfectly attended to in this shot. As always, I totally appreciate your comments!

I think that this is my favorite in your Blur Project so far. I think that it conveys a pretty clear message. I love the sharp image of the man waiting for the train as it speeds into the station. Great capture on this one my friend!

Thanks Phillip . . . though I'm not too sure you would fail at these types of shots. I've noticed the last BLUR project awarded was uploaded in Nov. 2005 and think seriously I may have to move on to another, different project. Hmmmmm . . . . maybe floral? Or Abstract . . . Or Best pic of 2004 . . . Heheheheee - or . . . uhhhhhh. . . . I don't know . . . . anything else??
:)

I've skipped the first shot and come to this one Doyle. I love the blur on this, love too the man living on the edge, love better the reflection of the other man further down the platform and love totally the clarity of the scene through the moving train windows. You are on a roll my friend and you're cooking with gas. An excellent shot. I'm off to look at the others. Cheers Doyle....Ray

Oh, WOW! What a great series of images! I've never tried these types of images - I'm sure I would fail the test!
You've done a great job with them! I really feel the sense of movement. Well done, mate!
Cheers

Thanks J . . . and well seen . . . I have done nothing with this shot since the judges seem so die-hard against any post work . . . as a RAW image, I adjusted levels, slightly saturated the color and, of course, cropped it. NOTHING more!

Robin: Thanks so much my friend! I have decided to work these projects to get better at my skills. Your comments make me very proud considering your own skill! I'm not so sure you couldn't have done well with this and while I AM tackling the projects the question mark by 'systematically' says it all! :)

Very neat Doyle, great idea!
In passing glance I thought you had added the blur to the train in post, the pedestrian looks so sharp. After closer examination I see the buildings through the windows and have corrected my misinterpretations.
Well done! J

NICE contribution to the project Doyle! A fine job keeping not one, but two parts of the image so clearly in focus. For me, I would have made of mess of this. Applause for systematically (?) tackling the projects! Take care...Robin

Why Thank you . . . though the pedestrian's clarity is more of an appropriate contrast with the blur of the train since the DOF makes the buildings, while sharper than the train, less of a contrast. I see we are BOTH hard at work....

Amazing to see the blur of the train and the clearness of the building on the other side. Equally amazing to see someone stand that close. I also see you are hard at work.
