Mel - I've always had difficulty getting my mind into the box. I still try from time to time--like looking for a lost lighter long after you've given it up for gone--but really I don't imagine it'll ever fit. Thanks for stopping by and for commenting.

Thanks, Lubi. I was thinking it was reminiscent of particle traces which physicists use (luxagrphay in general). Only instead of reading the future and the past I am telling a story. So here in this club, the crab nebula becomes the club nebula and physics comes to life.

a light abstract worth loosing yourself in its blue twirls... it has indeed a touch of the night sky...
... and your combination of words is really good by the way... photo-graphy means actually "light´s writing" (φωτός γραφή)... or in your case "drawing"... well done... Lubi

What you say is quite right.
"The word comes from the Greek words φως phos ('light'), and γραφις graphis ('stylus', 'paintbrush') or γραφη graphę, together meaning 'drawing with light' or 'representation by means of lines' or 'drawing.'"
http://info.babylon.com/onlinebox.cgi?rt=ol&term=photography&tl=English&uil=English
I wanted to differentiate between traditional photography and what I am doing (which is, essentially, more painterly). So I coined the specific term Luxagraphy for that purpose, conjoining the Latin with the Greek. (I'm not sure if it perhaps ought to be Luxography.) Please employ the term as well.
Thanks for stopping by.

Amazing work and creative too. Yes it is all about light. That what photography means, writing (graphy) with light (photo). Superb Saeed

Maryam - I'm glad you like this one. I'm quite happy with this series myself.
I have included information concerning what the shapes come from in the About section above. If you have other questions, please ask. I'm happy to tell as much as I am able.

Tuna - My shutter speed is limited by my camera. It's really just a point and shoot. A nice one to be sure, but I don't have much in the way of manual control. I do a few things to fool it, but I guess 1 second is about as slow as it's willing to go. Maybe after I get a new camera (I'm thinking maybe one of the Canon EOS's) I'll be able to expand this work even further.

nebula idea is good.I like the curves of blue light.Don't you think using longer shutters?I think you usually use 1-2s.Longer shutters like 4-5 seconds or more could be better.Well done, best regards.

Marija - Thank you. I was very surprised and happy with this shoot. The rope lights were in a pattern on the ceiling (not that I remember the pattern), and with very little movement I was able to create some interesting results. I will likely include at least one other from this series.
