More contrast may be helpful. It would have been better to have the mother look at the baby instead of out of the frame.

I don't recall this one! It is really great that you capture the baby face and softness, gentleness from mom. Wish her eyes are looking at her baby. But this is just really great!! Lovely!!

Karen, it seems whatever you chose to do, you do extremely well. This is a beautiful portrait of mum and baby. I bet mum loves it. What a great photo to have up on your wall. The grain added by the fast film is pleasant and it is sort of overexposed (or altered to appear so!)which adds a great effect. I love the way the baby is the little star with all the attention (and looking at the camera) and the mother is simply enjoying the moment. Very special.
