Thanks for visiting, Kelly. I don't use tubes. To get this magnification, I use an obsolete Panagor Macro Converter adapter between the camera body and my 60 mm. macro lens, something like a tele-converter. It reduces the camera to manual control but one can still hand hold and get good results, usually with help of flash. The light loss is 2.5 stops.

Wow great nature shot you have taken since Ive been gone. This is amazing how large and detailed these ants are. I do think they need to shave their legs though. The lighting and color are fantastic. Super job. Do you use an extention tube?
