I like this capture a lot. It is difficult to find a unique pose with an instrument, you found one. Nice work.

Thanks Chris, meant to ask about that, but didn't want to come back and make a pest of myself ;) Just love the perfect tones you managed to squeeze out...

A well lit self portrait my friend. I love the presentation in these excellent mono tones and I agree, you do look relaxed. Great work Chris. By the way you do know you are making hard work of playing your guitar, don't you?????:):):)D)D)D) All the best to you dear friend......Ray

Hi Rina, Just read your comment again and thought I would mention that I do have a studio light at home. It's only a 100watt but works well for the small environment that I am in. Cheers.

Thanks Rina. As you have probably seen by my portfolio I don't do many portraits... on a learning curve right now as well. Hope to be posting more people in the future. Cheers.

Honestly I forgot that I was not wearing it and my wife just read the comment... I think I am going to have to do the picture again LOL... but I am going to use your idea...reflecting light..that's it. Thanks Gayle.

Oh boy Chris, you must know you're going to steal some UF hearts with these... ;)
On a serious note though, I think the use of low light here has served you well. Am currently eyeball deep in books on portrait lighting and so far my preference would be for the type of set up you've got going on. Would definitely like to try this myself soon, but like you, I'd prefer to be behind the lens...
Cleverly done. Cheers Rina.

hi, i like this one better and think your placement within the framing and unique position of guitar are very good...wondering if even more space off to your right in a wider format style would give this an even stronger look? appealing smile,Chris...and where be your wedding band? hmmm? ...LOL...bet you didn't want it reflecting any light! hahaha regards, gayle
