Dave, your nature shots are grand. This one is particularly striking. Blue is my favourite colour. You have captured his details and textures so wonderfully. You even caught the glint in his eye. Great timing for this shot with his lunch ready to go. Super.

hi, i am a big fan of blue in comps and this natural blue is beautiful!...stellar clarity and funny but apt title!..LOL...good timing,dof and focus.....would love to have a 500 or 600mm lens

What a great capture and excellent DOF. I get called on placing the subject right in mid frame but this works weel. The bird's body seems to go from corner to corner while the barbed wire offsets the cenetered bird. Great composition in my opinion.
Thanks for the comment on Bad teeth. I now have lots of admiration for macro shooters. I never knew it would be so difficult on the focal points.
