Oh man, how can I be not biased towards this sunset that I know since childhood? I nearly dived in my screen! Mediterranean sea, evening, frineds, laughing by an ouzo - what do we need more?
And why did I ever leave?
Thank you Michalis, my friend, for shooting and sharing this!

shooting a lot of of photos is the key! no matter how many photos of others you inspect or how many articles you study, unless you experiment by consuming film/digital yourself you can not really learn and improve. it's obvious that you like photography,so practice will give quick results ;-) anyway, thank you very much for valuing my work and opinion, and feel free to contact me anytime :-) kostas

Dear Kostas, Thanks for your thoughtful comment. Due to my inexperience I cannot exploit fully some photographic opportunities like this one. I am trying to get better by shooting a lot of photos. I may have to be a bit bolder and experiment more. I like your photos a lot which appear to me to be technically articullate, but I also like a lot your personal style. As a result I highly value your opinion. By the way, would it be ok to ask your opinion (via e-mail) about some equipment (tripod and filters) I intend to get? Thanks again, Michalis

there's no doubt that its a marvellous time of day and the mood created by those colours is special...for some people it may be enough, but i think you could have exploited much more the photographic potential of that moment. the photo you took is good but could be better : by experimenting more with composition, foreground elements, focal length etc you could end up with a photo that would have its own photographic quality instead of relying solely on the sunset colours for its strength...i hope you understand what i mean ;-) keep shooting! kostas
