This little guy is around five days old. He's an orphan, so bottle feeding how he's getting fed these days. His chances of surviving is better now, but kittens abandoned/ orphaned so young often don't make it.
Dear Christine, one of the first memories of my life is running after a cat into some nettles. I must have been 2 years old, but that didn't discourage me from loving cats all my life. All my youth my hands & arms were scratched from playing-fighting with them. Today we live in a home that really is Ginger's, the cat who graciously allows us feed & groom her. On top of that there are 8 cats (Angora-tail, Snow-white {named by our grand-daughter} etc.) who live in a garden across our home, know me on sight & are fed by all the neighbors. I feed them once a week, but I give them a special treat: meat from a can. They love it & I love them in return. Best regards, Rafi
Hi Rafi-- your picture of the wild kitten is very nice, it shows vulnerabilty of the little guy. It's hard to see them and not to help. I'm glad that you were able to find him again. It gives me great pleasure to be able to help those little ones that can't help themselves.
The kitten in this picture is a different one than in "Happy". We had over 100 kittens in our program this spring... that's a lot of kittens!!
Thanks for looking and commenting on my pictures, Rafi.
Good news! Today I found the kitten I told you about last time at the spot I last saw it. It seemed to be recovering well, it recognised me & gladly received & ate some cat-food I always carry in my pocket, guarding it against a much bigger cat that tried to steal it. By the way, is the kitten in your photo the same one as in your "Happy?" Best regards, Rafi
Looking at our previous correspondence on these pages, I saw that it was over a year old & thought that was a pity, as http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1137748 seems to indicate that our interests are similar. I hope your kitty fares better than mine, as mine disappeared a few days after I captured its photo. It was probably disposed of by the forces that be before I could rehabilitate it sufficiently for it to be able to fend for itself. Thank you for your kind comment on my photo. Best regards, Rafi
Wonderful to have recorded this so close. Hope he did survive. This photo really captures the size and condition. Reminds me of feeding a kitten from shop warehouse with a syringe!
