Aah, I see. So fotoğraf is not the photographer (Photograph in German) but the fotography itself, isn't it? What a great think it is, to be here with all of you great people, and be able to learn a bit of the languages of this world, by simply doing photography and posting it.
Thank you fot the great comment and the info, Tuba!
Seriously now, I am glad that we share the same feeling/opinion for this one, since it was indeed a very very very special moment in my life!
It has been the first day after a very long time, when I could work on an IT project in a university again, and I really smelled that atmosphere of enthousiasm and open minded people. It has been shortly before Christmas and I was so graterful to be allowed to work with all the students and the profs - the ideas, the power of imagination, the long nights with discussions, about maths, and theology, and literature, and physics - how happy I was! The money was so little but that was *life*!!
So I went out through my office door to the balcony and took that shot, since it really was... you know, cold outside but a happy heart is always warm. I can remember me, the great atheist, wanting to say "thank you so much" to somebody up there, and this was the very first time after years and years.
A very personal photo, indeed, and I thank you so much for your great comment.
Wow! How could there be no comments yet? I love this one Nick! Great DOF and colors with a very unique perspective and the falling snow makes the whole seem so much more magical! Well Done!
