I agree with Jim. The splotch on the left did draw my eye away from the great image. There are other background items that do distract. This would be worth a re-shoot.

Nice concept but I have a few problems with it. First of all the flowers are out of focus. Also the purple splotch at the left draws my attention away from the main subject.

I hope you don't mind but this was such a lovely shot that I had to see what I could do to it. First I cloned out the distracting purple splotch then I tried sharpening the image. I couldn't get the flower to the left of the stem any sharper. I suspect you shot this with the lens wide open because the light was so low. Unfortunately this will limit your depth of field. A smaller aperture with a longer exposure would help. Also, sometimes in low light going to manual focus helps.
