About THis is the ONLY image known of ELSIE STEPTOE from a tiny town of MEEKS, GA.USA.
He had just gotten out of "Boot Camp" training in preparation to go to war in Europe during World War TWO. He was only about 19 years of age when he was enlisted.
He was a true patriot, and really believed in defending this country, though he realized he might not survive.
Well, he did not survive. He was accidentally killed by a fellow soldier in training for firearms.
This photo was P/S ed from a group photo by yours truly. Elsie would now be near 80 years of age if he had lived.

You did a marvelous job on restoration. The grain is perfect. It really works with the age of the photo. Love the eyes.

I found out yesterday, that there may be another photo of this young man, taken before he went into the Marines. I hope to get it and restore.
Yes, to end all wars... Wars will never stop because of Evil in the hearts of individuals.
Thanks for your comment

Tragic and sad . . . one face of so many in the War to "End All Wars". Would that it was true.
