Andrea, you have a very good point about isolating the subject, unfortunately the image is almost 50 years old and I don't think it would be practical to try and retake it. Also, this is a "street" image and often that kind of photography doesn't lend itself to careful composition.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Jonathan. Unfortunately, the Yashica "died" many years ago. Somewhere in the 1960s, I think. Today I work only in digital and I do miss the wide tonal range of film, but I don't miss the hassle of the chemical darkroom. I spent too many years in one to feel nostalgic!

Excellent photo. I think the square format and the not-too-contrasty appearance here work well for this type of scene. And, of course, the negative edges of a full frame print are my personal favorite element of photography. I'm also very biased towards images shot with a Yashica TLR since I use one as well from time to time.
