I recently had the opportunity to take portraits of this beautiful young lady. She is the mother of 13, with 65 grandchildren!! She was a delight to photograph, and just loved her face. In it I see so much wisdom, so much joy, so many miles traveled. And she reminded me of my own grandmother who has gone on to be with the Lord. I just wanted to celebrate this woman's life with this image. Incidentally, the woman reflected in her glasses is her daughter in law, who has now become her caregiver.
Absolutely the most stunning image ever! I also love to photograph elderly people- they speak so much in their faces. Wonderful use of black and white- and the reflection in her glasses is awesome. Fantastic work, DA!
