Excellent details, Joggie. I like the pattern the rocks make. Good exposure. Cheers, Ann.

Hi Hugo - Thanks for your very gracious comment! I like it very much to experiment with different angles and perspectives, lighting (if time allows) and compositions. The result is that I often take many photos of a subject or similar subjects - then I delete a lot directly after download (any accidental blur, over/under exposed or crappy shot). After a week or three I would go back for a next round of elimination and so on until I end up with the best imo. For this subject I took about 25 images of wich about 6 is of the above standard. Since getting the D70 in September 2004, I took over 30000 photos and deleted about 20000. My wife thinks (and say) I am mad - I must agree!

I love rocks and stones and this picture tells me why better than when I look at them myself! It is a stunning image- the colour, light, texture- beautiful.

Hi Joggie,

Not sure what it is, but you have an ability to make the simplest things look great. Guess it's a combination of factors, both technical as well as aesthetical that "just" creates a feast for the eyes. And you make it look so simple.... One out of how many photos you take do you upload here? - Just curious....

Cheers,

Hugo
