Hi Dave,
I might have found out what these are called. There is something called "Blue Eyed Grass" on the Ontario Wildflower site that looks very much like this.

Georgeous flowers, Dave. The backgound tone is very flattering to the blue. It is nice to have a photo subject in pairs and well balanced in the frame by the diagonal twig.

Dave: Good stuff! Your spring is a bit ahead of ours. It's snowing again though likely it will melt off quickly in the morning. Just a few of the early domestic bulbed flowers popping out in a few yards. The only natural greens are a few grasses. Went out today and looked for birds but not much here yet although the osprey are in their nests.

You would think they would be easy to identify, but there are hundreds of little blue flowers in Ontario :) I've got to look up a few myself. If I find this one, I'll let you know what it is.

Those are lovely blooms. The colors, light and details are very good in this shot. The DOF allows the blooms to stand out well against the green of the background.
