Thanks for the explanation. I recall the Warwick incident, it was a very sad waste of a young life. It was some time ago, wasn't it? Early 1990s or thereabouts?
I haven't driven the track no, but am fascinated that you have yourself. The photo was taken last Saturday at a round of the British F3 championship. The location is Knickerbrook and the driver killed was Paul Warwick. Many thanks for the coment and cheers, Anthony.
I always feel sad seeing flowers at the side of the road... too many lives taken before their time... this one, although sad.. I'd like to think the person died doing what they loved the most.
I know Oulton Park well, I've driven that track a myself and it has a couple of tricky bits that can be quite treacherous in even slightly damp conditions. Have you driven the track?
Anyway. That's a very poignant capture, very sad. The simplicity of the floral tribute next to the empty racetrack really underlines the sense of desolation.
