About My Toyota Matrix - middle car in 7 car collision on I-435 last Thursday. I think it's a gonner.

Too bad, got this one in 2003 with 14.5K miles, now it had 101K.

Averaged 34,581 miles a year. That's 55,652 kilometers of driving in a year. Guess it was about time I get crushed.

Feeling OK now though, just a really sore neck.

I have captured your license plate - for evil!

No, really, looks just as bad as mine. My back was sore for two weeks, but I was lucky to be OK as well.

I did the same thing but it was just me and another guy,.
No airbags deployed or anything.. luckily I walked away with no medical attention required!

MA:

Chain collision - I was the third of five cars, and all the others were SUVs/Minivans, which meant my little car was smushed up.

There is a shot of the new car on uf as well!

Michael, so very sorry to hear about your car and your neck. Sometimes these things happen for a reason but it sure as hell is inconvenient until that reason becomes clear!

I don't recall if I did so already, but I want to thank you very very much for the article you did on using the gradient mask. It has been such tremendous help to me! I'm glad the images are available for it again.

Hey sorry to hear about the bang up.....guess you won't be hanging out the window trying to get "the SHOT" while driving and talking on the cell phone steering with your knee ever again!
Hope your neck is better, although that kind of thing seems to take awhile......yeah I did the same thing except I was shooting a shot in the rear view mirror and talking on the cell while adjusting my new satellite GPS listening to Howard Stern on channel 101

That looks pretty terminal for the car. Never mind though, at least you have a new pc to cheer you up. Glad you arent seriously hurt. Keep safe.

Joel:

I drive cars until they are dead. This is death #3, and just happy to walk away from it.

No air bag - the sensor is in the bumper, and well - you can see that the bumper kind of "missed".

Michael!!!

THAT S*CKS! So sorry to hear that. At least the car had a good life! If it's gotta go... it's best like that. Just glad that you're ok!

...and you had your camera.... probably the second thing you thought about when the air bag deflated.

take it easy w/ that neck, and heal well!

Nice capture by the way :)

cheers,
-joel
