Location City -  Great Sand Dunes National Park
State -  COLORADO
Country - United States   United States
About Sand Dunes in southern Colorado. The tallest mound of sand in the dune field is 750ft tall. The sand is brought down from the San Luis mountians via a stream. Over time, winds have turned these tiny grains into mountains of sand. There are a few tiny dark specks at the top of the frame. Those are people.
