I think that the great appeal to this image is the composition. It is not a busy photograph because the appeal of realism at the top of the picture captures the eye and then causes the eye to move downward into that " mystical and spiritual " middle ground, thus forcing the eye down even further, back into realism. Your taking pictures intuitively and that will always be your strongest image.
The spinning ferris wheel is one of my favorites. You must also be a colorist at heart.
