About On the way to see my nephew in a performance of "The Phantom of the Opera, which is playing to full houses in Tokyo, I came across this young jazz group performing under the monorail. That raised area on which the people are standing is an elaborate fountain and they have special announcements to get people off it when the water is due to be turned on. This is a "defished" fisheye shot.

Thanks for taking a look at this one, too, Ray. You really need to see this one to understand the very unusual perspective of the panorama. How I wish you could see the panoramas as they were menat to be, as virtual reality scenes, without the strange perspective needed to make this work!

I can see the mound as it really is in this shot Roger. Great street shot and isn't it good to see these muscians being supported..
I am impressed that your nephew is in one of my favourite musicals and as I am behind with commenting I hope you enjoyed the performance. Very best wishes Roger.....Ray

So amazing when I see the same spot in perspective. I didn't notice the band playing in the other photo. Everyone was so far away.
Incidentally, is that fountain announcement also in English? If not there must be a few wet gaijin around there.
