Darkness on the Eagle's head is a bit disturbing, but I know how difficult it is to shoot them in flight. Details of equipments, etc would've been more interesting. Anyway great shot (except the cropping).
Everything is in the eye of the viewer I guess, but I think you did a great job Scott. I do not think the darkness detracts at all; perhaps any lighter and the sky would be too bright(?) Excellent capture to me.
I recently borrowed a Canon EOS 1n, 600/4 and 1.4x multiplier from a sports photographer friend to attempt some bald eagle photos. My appalling results really make me realize how difficult this is. This is a nice shot, though too bad head is in the shadow of the wing. Would like to know some details ? camera, lens, cropping, etc.
