Excellent colours and DOF, Hilton! I think I might have tried cloning/cropping out some of the more distracting background in the lower left corner, but it's still a very nice floral shot.

Your leading lady isn't up to much,I'm sure you could have found a more impressive specimen if you'd looked around a bit more.Actually lying down and looking around for a while is often productive.A bit of gardening around the flower plus a wider diaphram would have produced a cleaner image.The background is too busy.Your purple lady should have been more the centre of attention,unfortunately she isn't.I take loads of photos of wild flowers and I appreciate how difficult it is to get a really great shot.It doesn't happen very often and requires a lot of patience and attention to detail.Hard work but fun,one has to keep trying!
