Your bridge and photography never cease to amaze me, Dave! This is surely one of the best. Everything works well, including the bit of framing by the tree on the right.

Winter seems not to want to go away. It's obvious from the way you "captured" it, Dave. But although you did capture it, it will finally give way to spring & I already look forward to your spring photos.
Thank you for your very kind comments on my recent photos.
Best regards,
Rafi

Hi Shirley, thanks for the comment, and I'll try my best to get a shot of the geese for you! We saw the first two a couple of days ago, so it shouldn't be too long!
In the meantime here's a couple for you. They're not necessarily snow geese, but Canada geese our most common variety.

Dave, please do me a favour: Am reading a book called 'The Snow Geese'by William Fiennes - where he follows the Snow Geese from Down South to Baffin Island. One of his stops is Winnipeg (and then Riding Mountain) where him and the Geese wait for the weather to change before going further North - I would absolutly LOVE to see a pic of those hundreds and thousands of Geese.. do you get to see them?? If so - would you PLEASE take a pic for me?? Should be happening within the next few weeks.
Regards
Shirley

Very nice winter scene. I like the angle you chose. It gives nice depth to the shot. I bet filmed at dusk with the lights on and snowing would give an interesting shot. Del

Great shot, Dave! The composition's super, and I really like how the footpath of the bridge appears to spill out in the foreground as a gentle, broad curve. Really nice!

A lovely snow landscape, Dave. Has a magical soft feel to it. You are to be complimented for getting out in the snow and the cold on gloomy days like this. You prove that there are pictures out there even when the sun is hiding! Best wishes, Larry

) We saw the same thing last weekend! I was glad when it was over and it all melted away.
The bridge makes a nice line across the shot. I love your snow shots, but will be glad too when winter says "Bye-Bye"....

This is brilliant Dave. My all time favourites are your two bridge pictures. I keep going back to them. Now it is definitely three. If I was a photographer, this is what I'd want to achieve. Great this shape and so atmospheric. Feel I need to wipe the snow from me. There is something about having that tree on the right too.
