Daffodils captured at the local NC Botanical Gardens. These are among the first of the spring flowers. I edited this photo using the poster edge filter in Photoshop CS.
David, I think that's a great idea! I have played with a few other layers and filters on this photo, and now I have another great idea to work with. Thank you very much for commenting! Cheers to you! Carolyn
Carolyn, not sure if you have the lens to do it but I would love to see one flower head strongly in focus with all it's neighbours blurred so as to give great emphasis to the central 'character'....what do you think? yep, yep, you may be right, I'm talking rot!! have fun, cheers, david.
Firstly very nice flowers. I havent seen them before. Composition is good like this one http://www.harley.com/art/abstract-art/images/(vangogh)-irises.jpg But the light is to strong and harsh. The white leaves of the flowers are blown out. The ones in the back which are seen at the top seem posterised (both tones and greenish cast). So I think the hour is not so suitable for this photo, othervise the photo must have been shot at 1-2 stops less exposure. regards, Alper
