Ciao Marco,

Hello Helen,
I simply try to have the best film I can (exposure and development) than I scan it.
I use an Epson 4870 and I scan at 1200 dpi (and I get many pixels in excess so I've to reduce later). Part of the effects on the tones is coming from the development but a little bit also from the quadtones (available in PS CS version). There's a quadtones setting I usually use (or little bit modified) into my website int the "Inspirations" chapter (www.giulianoguarnieri.com)
Hope to see your photos soon on UF
Bye

Giuliano

Great "decisive moment" capture. I'm also amazed at how well the many b/w "tones" look on my monitor. How do you do that? Shoot film, digitalize it, and make it still look good on the internet????? I'm curious because here, in the US, we're not supposed to even shoot film anymore!

Ciao Enrico,

Ciao.

enrico (ventrix)
