A very tasteful colouring of the bike, or just leaving the bike in colour when desaturate the rest! Nice composition and great work.

Very nice editing work, leaving the bike as the lone color really draws the eye there. Turining the rest of the image to grayscale worked well here & tones looks great. Well seen & captured Mark, regards.

This is a great picture, Mark. I really, really like it the way you have the bike standing out. So many would have passed this scene by, but you saw its captivatingness (new word, just for you). I find the contrasts make this intriguing--the brightly coloured bike with not much texture agianst the beautifully textures tree and buildings with not much color. Terrific. MAry

Awesome picture Mark, and you have an awesome portfolio! There's a lot I like in here, I don't know where to start :) so I start here: Fantastic selective coloring/ desat. and superb crispness. Great mood given by the building, shadows, and angle. The bike style & color is beautiful too, and the whole composition is superb with lots of interest. I love it! Best regards, Ina

Really like bricks, wood, earth and shadows -seeing the textures at this angle makes me see them more! And a great idea Mark having the bike that colour.

Very beautiful image!!! The angle of shooting puts the building in a special light, showing the shapes, patterns and patina. It's almost including the big tree in the architecture. The yellow bike has a beautiful shape, too.You did a great thing with the selective colouring, it certainly gave a new life to this shot! Gabriela

The way the bike was being lit up was really nice, and to be honest with the drought, colors aren't exactly stellar. and it stood out. I was driving by and it made me stop and stay a while. It felt like a artifact from the 50's.
Then I thought of old movies and how a bike can be like a good friend, then came the title and couldn't have it any other way after that.
so yes I saw the shot, but the more I looked the more it felt right. Hope that wasn't to long, thanks for the time and comment, Wez.

wonderfully seen image, and i love your choice of angle, getting down low like that.
did you see this image before you took the shot, ar did you settle on the selective desaturation while playing around with it later?
