The picture is very sharp and well focused. U use the macro with its full potential. The background is blurred enough. Nothing distracting there. Partha

I see what you mean about the frog looking as if he wa going to topple backwards, Joggie. I hadn't noticed that before, but that is the position he was sitting in. I must admit yours does look better balanced. I will look out for that in the future. It's still all a big learning curve for me but with help from more experienced people like you I will get better. Thank you for your time and advice. I do appreciate it. Cheers, Ann.

Great macro Ann. Your exposure on the skin of the frog is spot-on and the sharpness is great. Beautiful skin detail and a well defined eye!
I do think the frog is placed a bit upright though - almost feel as if its going to tip backwards. I attached my version where I've tilted the frog in a more angular position, cloned to repair the background and lastly used the burning tool to darken the background and left foreground a bit - placing the emphasis on the frog. Please let me know what you think! Kind regards. Joggie

Great focus, sharp, brilliant colors, and great exposure. I think the composition is a little static through, and the frog lined up on the center vertical might be made better by putting it on a vertical 1/3 to the left or right - probably left.
Also consider of adding more space above the frog so it has a place to hop! You can read up on the rule of thirds online.

These are are very photogenic--and born models! This is a very nice portrait. While the composition is very effective, the background color and tone vies with the subject a bit. Consider taking it down to a darker value. I think that would make the little guy stand out even better. Regards, --George
