Well done. Focused to the camera lens. Vulnerable and emotional photograph.

Very well conceived and presented, Aurore.
I like the soft mood in the background with its shadows/light games and I love your portrait in the foreground beacuse of your pose and your sweet look that has a mixture feelings: doubt, need for help, protection.
I see (my interpretation) the good and the evil in their contiuous fight that try to force your mind in their own direction and you, in the middle, that must take a decision (I apologize for my english).
Very emotional and well done, Aurore; you are a very emotional and clever photographer. Congrats!
Best regards and have a nice week-end. Paolo

WOW i absolutly love this photo. I'm really starting to admire photoart like this. I'm trying to achieve it myself, still need a lot of practice though.
I really appreciate your comments on my "Jacy" picture, i really appreciate it when people not only comment but truly critique it. Thank you.

I like the idea of this. A couple things though: I wish that the image wasn't so symetrical. If things were a little unbalanced compositionally, then I think my eyes would have more fun moving across the image. Also, the highlights seem kind of blown out. They blend into the white background and there is no hightlight detail. Maybe if it was printed just a little darker. Doing self-portraits are not easy. You really put yourself out there.

You have to be emotionaly resilient to post a self-portrait. Any negative comment no matter how constructive risks the chance of being interpreted too closely to the heart. It's one thing to offer opinions about a photo's technical or compositional aspects, but here you expand that dimension to include the your emotional content too. Very brave, very admirable. By the way - technicaly, it looks the photo is 'spot-on', as they say

interesting way of expressing the concept. imho, poses look a bit artificial, but its ok, since the concept is more important here, and shooting self is always hard for a photographer. i don't have any non-artificial looking depictions of myself. --: )
