Thanks for the postive feed back and the kind words. Also I'm sorry for not writing back sooner I was in the process of moving from on base to another base. I'm now stationed at NTC, Ft Irwin, Ca....in short change on desert for another desert...at least this one is a little safer:)

Amazing how a picture can suggest sound, and this is exactly what this does: suggest the rumble, through the raised dust and the angle.
I'm not sure if I see well, one of the soldiers has his hand to his ear as after a loud noise. Lots of haze and dust on the horizon too.

Thank-you for the postive comment. The dust is caused by the round leaving the tube and the track vehicle moving. You can really fell the vibration even in the ground ---

Fantastic capture of the movement! The steam/mist around the machine, is it of their own making or is it from the sand around? It sure makes the shot even more dramatic!
