Kes,
Thanks again for your kind words...as you now know...I'm at NTC, Ft Irwin...so alot of my images will be of Soldiers training in the desert and preparing to go Iraq and Afgan. However I hope that you will enjoy those as well.
Best Wishes, Chuck

Lots of hard mechanical shapes and lines contrasting with the human element - gatorade & man reading magazine.
Good stuff, keep 'em coming!

>> THIS IS MY LAST RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENT OF this
I answered you in another comment of ours. So I do not repeat myself. About that photo, I as a father and viewer first ask myself where are his/her dearest mom and dad? What happened to them? Did that soldier gave that child to his/her parent? What is the rest of story with that child? Who take of him/her where there is NOT water, electricity, and peace and natural calmness of natural life?
Unfortunately most of your images smell of politics and deadly war which were discussed in all of International News Agencies all around our globe.
If you show me a dead body or person with a sophosticated military equipements with the purpose of killing, then I as a viewer go FIRST about that situation that what happened there rather than oh the exposure is wrong, or the photographer had to use that particular lens? and so what? It would be ridiculous, wouldn't be!!
So I would appreciate if you post your lovely images in a military photographic journals rather than this peaceful civilian photography site. Namaste'

I love this one, because to me its an interesting contrast between the machinary of war and the reminder that MEN are the ones who make them work.
Just looking at the mech units is impressive enough, but it helps to remind ourselves that its still our boys in there.

Ina,
Good point...I didn't think about that. Next time I will have to try and shoot a vertical and a little closer.

Hi Chuck, I looked at the magazine cover, but at this size it's not clear what it is, unless you know the magazine logo. I'm sure it's obvious at a larger scale :)

This image has a nice flow to it, you have done an excellent job at leading the viewers eyes from left to right with a good placement of your subject, and like Ina said, good lighting and DOF
Thank you for the comment on my photo Say a prayer

Nice perspective on the tracks, Chuck! It leads the eye right to the relaxing soldier! Well done! Dave.

Great perspective, with the dusty armored vehicle. The only colors that stand out from the natural colors are the blue magazine and the bottle. Everything else is light sandy and khaki. Great lighting and DOF. Best regards, Ina
