Ohh, Petal. I'm so sorry that you got it wrong. It was in no way against what you said and I wasn't offended at all. I think I've proven that I have a sense of humor and can also laugh on myself. So: Alles gut as always, there was no interruption.

Kind regards, Markus

It was absolutely not my intention to suggest that you're that kind of person... it was purely the image I was referring to: better ice and bigger 'pond'.... Sorry if I offended you in any way.... Alles wieder gut...?? ;-D

I'm not this kind of person 'bei Uns is alles Grösser, Besser und', Petal. Your image was an inspiration for my title, and association. Thanks for your kind comments.

Hi there Markus, this is a 'bei Uns is alles Grösser, Besser und'.... moment... hahaha!! Neat image, a lot of wood in the ice... LOL, nice tones, great view, good composition... well captured!!! The only very minor thing: maybe I would've considered to crop some of the bottom, to lose most of the bright white reflection and to let the poles start off right in/out the corner.... well I would've... maybe... ;-D

Hi Markus!

I love the composition of this one, really impressive! The title is very appropriated, too :).

Best regards!

Yes, yes, yes, you caught me, Drilan. I tried it but you cannot be betrayed. It's your image which wins clearly. Only my name can help. Congratulations!

Hunting would be of a problem, it's all a nature reserve. But I rember when I was young we visited people having a lodge in the reed.

PS: I would rather see it as a draw, 36 to 37 views is not a huge difference. But as long as we got proved what we knew already;-)

Hi Susie, thanks for commenting on my cold images. If you want to see warmer ones just switch to my flowers portfolio;)

Wow Marcus, that looks COLD! I think I'd end up on my rear in about 1.5 seconds. Very pretty with nice lines.
I'm getting the feeling that Austria is always covered with snow and ice...I'm looking forward to seeing some summer shots from you in the coming months. )

That's now over, Dave. It was snowing all day long (wet snow).

I would not try it out, Drilan. This was at least 20 centimeters, but now it's full of snow (wet snow):-(

Great perspective on the posts, Markus, an a good capture of the smoothness of the ice. Seems funny to have all that ice and no snow on it!
Dave.

Woow..it must be freezing, the use of the surrounding elements helped in killing the emptiness of the icy ground.
Is this really part of water or just outside the harbour ?
Superb
