It looks like as if the tree branches are going to reach the moon. I really love this kind of shot; minimal number of different colors, gradient of color, deep blue sky, moon up in the sky, and tree sihouettes. This picture was really well thought and excellently composed. Simply superb.
And I love your portfolio too. Excellent pictures for my reference.

Thanks John, I appreciate your comment. I looked over your portfolio and you have some beautiful nature scenes (and other shots as well) and I particularly liked mny of your skies. I apopreciate your praise all the more. I got very lucky on the color of this sky, nature was kind.

Great composition Mark, I like how the trees converge towards the moon, and you've captured the perfect blue color for the sky and the trees, for an ideal contrast - not too much and not too little. I can almost hear a wolf howling :))) Best regards, Ina

Thanks much Randy. This is pretty much the blue that was visible to the eye when I took it. A bit darker perhaps. I made no changes to color or saturation in photoshop, there's nothing that would improve the sky here!

Thanks for the good words Jeanette. I was trying for the look of the trees reaching for the moon, but wish the moon had been at a better location so that the lines of the trees were more directly pointed toward it. Nevertheless, it seems from your comment that I have been partially successful. Thanks again!

Wow Mark - i really like this shot. A night shot with a visible moon is not so uncommon - but here i see something i like and thats how the tree´s bend and "try to reach" the moon....like arms swinging while dancing.... Both so dreamy and beautiful. The deep blue is great as well as the composition and LOW angle shooting. All create a great shot - congrats!
