Hi Mort... thanks for the comments. I will answer what I can of your questions... The 60mm I find is good if you shoot objects that you can get really close to such as plants, snails ect... The working distance is really close which sometimes has some lighting issues. I ended getting a studio light to take this picture with proper lighting. Depending on the type of shooting you want to do the 90/105mm might be more pratical.... I have no personal use with that lens. Sorry I am not sure of hand about the 1.6x cropping.. I will try to find the answer for you. Chris

i really like your macro work! This one in particular. This is my good fortune...I plan to order a macro lens this week (getting ready for spring/summer) and have been debating 60mm or 90/105mm. I am leaning towards the 60mm for better flexibility to handhold, but have read that some feel working distance too short. Does the 20D have a 1.6x cropping factor and do you find the working distance to be a problem? Would appreciate your experience.

This is by far much better and much more inspired than No.1. The details are clearer, the colours more attractive and most certainly everything goes better on black, it helps the contrast. It makes for an attractive abstract! Thanks for visiting my fresia! YT
