This is the Sacred Cave at Orakei Korako-Cave & Thermal Park,45minutes South of Rotorua. Its origin is still uncertain, some theories suggest a gaint hydrothermal eruption, others suggest a cave-in was the cause..One of only two Geothermally situated Caves known in the world. A Waiwhakaata(Pool of mirrors)rests serenely at the bottom of the cave, where wishes have been wished for!! :O)

hi Tabitha, this is a very interesting find, I believe you are looking upwards when you this this shot. I like how you exposed for the foliages and not the sky giving details on the ferns. this must be a high altitude place because of the variety of plants. Those plant outside the cave, are they trees? How far were you from the opening of the cave if you were using a 100mm.... too many question.., interesting shot! great photo..
