About I really don't know how to work with fog, let me know what you think or what I should do to improve the shot.

alison, hard to tell but i think this is still in colour mode. i would say desaturate it, and alter the contrast and brightness slightly. photos taken in grey foggy conditions (in my opinion) always look better after this process. you'll see a similar photo in my stuff too.

Why, this is excellent, Alison! Just like a water colour painting - soft, dreamy, almost monotone but still a colour shot. And the 'waves' created by the ducks further enhance this image. I wish I come across a situation like this.

Don't you ever wander through here and find photos that are so achingly beautiful you don't want to turn away from them? This is one of those. It doesn't need any changes, no cropping, no darkening. It's precisely right just the way it is.

Ese arbol sobre la neblina es formidable al igual que la pareja de patitos que nadan en esta laguna.
Un lugar maravilloso por lo que se ve en estas fotografias!!

Beautiful misty moody composition my dear Alison. Just the slightest hint that the shot is in colour by the very light green on the bank. The details are fabulous in the tall tree and the bottom left of the bank in particular. The reflections are wonderful and the two lone ducks a great bonus. I cannot think how you could improve on your technique sweetie, for me it is perfect. Very best wishes to you my dear...Ray

i like the dark silence in the image....
it appears as if the house is empty the guest are gone
all the leaves are gone with the winter wind
the lake is silent too... ducks has their own expressions adding flavor on the lake ..... see the image here is forming a story which i think is sufficient enough....i like the image in blank and white it creates a feel of distance as in fog things that are closer appears colourful and those that are on a distance appears black and white...eating all the other words i say good work alison.....

i dont know.....

if u can find......
i feel u are already doing good i saw many images u shot.... summer, autumn. winter snow, the alone leaves and the sand waves on shore,,,u did good in the singing flower .....and i remember the images of magic light they were pretty good so why not u try in fog i think u should try urself and tell later to us what u found....i would be happy to hear ur experience alison ....

Very mysterious looking scene. That is very thick fog. I like it!

I think you got the fog shot down pretty well, a little tighter crop of the right side and darken the far bank so there just a little more definition would be my suggestions.

I love this! Really a peaceful and quiet shot. You can feel the chilly fog- I think you caught it right on. Well done.

I like this shot a lot, reminds me of another one you shot that was also foggy. I think this shot is great, since the ducks on the right give it a point of attention. Fog is definitely favorable in my opinion. Very melancholic look to the photo. Jonathan.
