This is a general experience I had...great blue egrets...pelicans etc...I do know that these guys like to hang around fishermen and snatch a fish or two right off the line

Im at home larry :), I live in the San Fran bay area, The great egrets are less likly to fly then these snowys which actually is fine with me, but they always do fly when you get within 20 yards or so and never have I had one stand and pose for me, I think there is a bit of DR. Dolittle in you.....

Hey Marcus...I dunno about where you are but in Florida you can get within a few feet of these guys...and they're quite willing to pose....Thanks

Hi Larry, I have seen snowy egrets almost everyday for the last 5 years :) Never have I seen one in such a pose, he looks as though he is modeling for you with one foot slightly to the right and staring slighty away from the camera, I really like it!

Good shot of the bird. The side light gives the image a 3 dimensional look. Details are good on the feathers.
