Hi Michael Than you for your comments. I do agree with your suggestion to have a little more of the ground or sky. I think that what i am going to play with is PSing some more silhouette FG in. Yes the image is stitched, this is the first time that i have dome that and i am quite pleased with the way it turned out. One dissapointment that i had is that on the camera i used shetter priority instead of full manual. (I dont know why...not thinking) so the camera varied the exposure just a touch with the different "brightness" of the sky. Made it kinda hard to PS together. Thanks a lot. Steve Gonna try this again today with another subject in the vertical.
Overall, night shots are tricky, and this is well composed, showing the whole city. Should make for a nice print if this is big enough.
Some notes: Exposure is good, but at night you can average the light, which this seems to be; or you can fiddle and try to get the lights to be a little more crisp by underexposing just a tad.
Before you post, you may want to sharpen the image just a bit - this seems a little fuzzy.
Panoramics are tough - look up the rule of thirds. With water and reflections you will want to probably put the horizon right along the center like here, but if the reflection is garbled with waves, like here, you can choose to show more sky or more ground.
Don't know if this is stitched, but if it is, great job. If you want to learn and have a tripod, I can offer some suggestions. There are a few UFers who stitch together multiples into panoramics.
