About I went to this bay looking for a sunset shot that I had in mind. Typically, though, a hail storm swept in from the Atlantic. As it passed over there was a patch of clear sky which caught the residual water in the air to produce a perfect rainbow. Not the shot I went for, but a rather pleasant alternative.

Alex, dam you lucky, i bet your glad you stuck it out ;)
it's a pity about the lower right, but it doesn't take anything away from it so who cares!?! you got a sick rainbow shot!

A pleasant alternative indeed. Amazing shot. Not much improvement needed here. Something to strive for, I think.

Nice composition and well balanced and most importantly you captured the rainbow very well.

Nice. I guess it's a perfect place for paragliding.

Excellent photography! Its really great luck to find a rainbow which ends on the ground near you. You must have found a pot of gold at its foot. Isnt it? Beautiful Photograph!!!

Rain and hail!! When this rainbow lit up I had no idea how long it would last so I didn't waste too much time cleaning the lens. It disappeared very quickly, so as always with these things I await the next chance to get it absolutely right, but well spotted!

beautiful! My eagle eye's spotted some blurring just on the bottom right - do you have any idea what would have caused that?

Fantastic - I'm pleased you endured the hailstorm to get this shot. Really lovely.
