About After about 3 weeks of rainy days the sky brightened up for a while yesterday. It seemed strange (but wonderful!) to see the sun shining through the clouds!

Very interesting scene! What catches my eye is the mountain and clouds layering like folders composing some enigmatic play.
Nice work Kathy!

That's some pretty huge weather you had going on up there. Can feel the heaviness of those clouds. I certainly know what it's like to go through weeks of that and then the absolute joy at seeing the sun finally break! Nicely captured Kathy...

The weather here has been behaving of late. Feeling more like summer everyday. But I'm so glad I had the opportunity to really warm up in Queensland. Mercury was up in the high 30s (I think that's triple digits for you guys) most of the time! Bloody marvellous :))

Hope it gets better for you guys soon!
Cheers
Rina

What a wonderful collection of cloud shapes sweetie. I can see the sun trying to get a look-in but the distant clouds still look kind of angry. As you say it must be great to see a bit of brightness. The cloud formations have great detail and depth, the hills in the background and the silhouetted trees also look fantastic. Well seen and taken Kathy..Best wishes,'see' you soon....Ray

Majestic cloud formations, Kathy! I love the yellow cast and the deep grey tones in the sky, as well as the purple-grey mountain and the black tree silhouettes. Very dramatic! A perfect sunny day wouldn't be as beautiful in the picture, but then again, being under the clouds for so many days, the sun shining through is a blessing! Great capture, beautiful mood! Ina

WOW amazing impending clouds captured here Kathy. I know what you mean about strange lighting. I too caught a glimpse of sun on a tree with a very dark sky. Weird sights in the skies this winter but makes for great photos such as this one. I don't think I'd like to be flying in a plane through that mess. Wonderful image. Very well seen and captured. Great shot Kathy.

Cheers - Ann :)

I think this is a great time to go out and shoot some images. The clouds always look so powerful and booming during these moments. You did a good job of capturing it.

Best regards,
Bob

What wonderful layers of clouds, very dramatic with the bit of light coming through. We went from almost 60 degrees yesterday to a blizzard last night , Oh well. Alison

Great atmospheric shot Kathy - I love it!! Don't know if I like the rather harsh black frame - gives it an ominous feel. ;)
Well captured
