Great image Ralph, love the Z's of the metal stairs, and the Chinese letters. I think it says "In case of fire take these stairs" LOL - no idea, but I love the contrast of the silver letters against the dark brick and the window reflections. Great desaturated colors too! Ina

Hugo, thank you very much for your comments! I can see what you mean, but sometimes i want to have this static feel in my pictures! With the translation maybe somebodyelse can help because my Chinese is more than pretty weak :-). Many greetings, Ralf

Hi Ralf, The very desaturated tones create a rather ominous feel about this image. Nicely structured, and in a way, the near symmetry over the diagonal balances the composition, but on the other hand, I always feel that the use of those intrinsic angles (30, 45. 60 degrees) also add a rather static feel to the image. Hope you see what I mean. Can't help you with the translation. my Chinese is pretty weak...:)
Cheers,
Hugo

Very interesting way to frame the picture but your composition really brings beauty to the picture. Really love the picture and especially all of those lines. Keep up the good work.

Very beautiful composition: colors, light, reflections, angle and lines... Very nice use of asian (chinese?) ideogrames on the diagonal. Bravo and thanks for sharing.
