Hi James - thanks for the comments. I appreciate it even more since looking at your portfolio.
The cheetah was about 2.5 meters away. Iwas in the enclosure - about 2 hectares in total. The animals have not been domesticated and even though they have been in closer contact with them during feeding times they do not allow contact. However they are more docile and predictable than leopards. But they are also known to attack with-out provocation...

very nice shot tjaart. i've never been to africa, so wonder if this is a game preserve, or in the wild? and also, how close did you actually get to the cheetah?
