This gives me a sense of looking out and across at a panorama. Of course I place myself behind the windows.

I love the curves in this building Manu. It has a real Art Deco feel about it and I loved that era. Yes the brick building/earthquake issue is an interesting one. I'm from Australia which also isn't prone to earthquakes and since I've been in the states have seen very few homes made of brick. Less than a handful in 7 years that I've been here and I've travelled a lot around this country. I miss the brick structures. they are nice and earthy. Nice vivid colours in this image too. A nice series.
Thanks also for your comment on my Frozen Falls image.
Cheers - Ann :)

Hi Manu, eventhough this conclusive shot of the series is less graphical in build-up, it has the same geometrical element as the previous two. In that sense, it is a very solid choice. Yet, it's the odd one out, mainly because the element and use of shadows is less prominent here. I do like the details and composition in this one, resembling a lookout over a sound. The sign in the curved face breaks the predominant vertical lines beautifully, removing part of the otherwise rather static geometry. I can't suppress the feeling that it's slightly tilted clockwise, though. This is mainly because of the slight angle visible in the edge of the brick wall. Very cool series!
Cheers,
Hugo

You see, Roger...that's one of the beauties of this site...its global! It would not have occured to me the whole "earthquake-proof" thing...fascinating stuff...thanks for that insight, Roger.
Cheers

You can tell England never suffers earthquakes by the brick buildings. The only time you'll see bricks in Japan is as a decorative layer over a concrete structure (brick walls shake apart in even the mildest of quakes). They're highly decorative and have helped make your mini-series visually attractive.
