I like this idea, it has a lot of merit and potential. Also, technically, it's well captured. If you allow me some lenience, I think that keeping the beam that's running from left to right perfectly vertical (by changing your position), the geometric element would make it a tad stronger. Also, if you use Photoshop, you can correct the slight distortion by applying a pinch to this image; the beam looks a bit bent to me, but maybe it is... Good composition, and a nice shot with crisp colours.
