This is beautiful, Tim...really lovely. I can definitely hear the echo of Bill's influence on it. Very beautifully done.

This is wonderful, Tim, the border works well. Love the texture. Thanks for the comments, I rotated the flowers and those are my initials there. The instant capture was at the florist :), happy New Year!

I'm glad you like this picture, Bill. I was really after the abstraction here, hoping the slender branches would work differently enough from trunks. I mentioned the black frame because though I often like the effect it contributes, I frequently get constructively critical feedback on it. I may try this one again with white to see what happens. Getting together would be great but I'm in the Fox Valley, about 45 minutes from Lake Michigan and a long trek from/to Lacrosse. I'm working with a new company, though, and will be traveling quite a bit in the new year, including Minnesota so... who know! Best wishes for a great new year, Bill. Happy shooting! Tim

Tim - This is excellent. I really like the soft ribbon like flow of colour to the left. I get a strong abstract sense of the willow branches hanging softly to the ground. The black frame really works well also. I need to try some of this in my presentations. I was just in Wisconsin along the Mississippi River over Christmas and definitely want to go back there and practice this technique as there is a different look to the trees there. How far are you from Lacrosse? It would be fun to meet sometime and do some shoots together.
All the best and great image making in 2006.
Your friend - Bill
