About	This picture was taken mid day, with the clouds just thin enough to allow the sun to filter through. I was at about 50 degrees latitude so it was cold and the sun did not rise high above the horizon. The Northern Boreal Forest is different than anything I have ever seen. It is gorgeous. Good catch on a difficult shot! The conditions need to be just right for the Sun to be shinning dimly through clouds, and you've composed this nicely.

Great capture of the mood. From the thumbnail, I thought I might be seeing the Moon. It's an intriguing mid day shot, and a very good one especially considering the light.
