This picture quite proves my point of view: wait for an imminent storm before you go to Venice. I (as no doubt many others) made a picture from exactly the same point; you can find it, if you wish, in my Venice album at Webshots.com, my nickname there is sante1. My picture too was scanned from a print, by the way.
I nearly forgot to say that your pictures are all so dramatically, so British romantic!

That is one stormy image! Wow! The intensity you have captured is wonderful and a little unnerving. That is when I run for cover. I could have sworn I saw an email address for you somewhere.
