JamesI know -exactly- what you mean! I've tried this a couple times at the end of the runway at the airport I work at. Still haven't gotten the photo I invisioned (the fourth, maybe the third shot in your montage is what I was hoping for, but civilian a/c don't seem to want to pull the nose up enough for what I want!!!)I think I would have liked to have seen more of the surface of the runway, but what you achieved here is still excellent. To see what I got - check out my own portfolio...and you can see, that, I'm still not getting what I want :(I will have to try from the other end of the runway...

That's a really cool idea, and well executed. Very visually engaging.

Thanks for your comment, Scott. I took the four separate photos and cut out the planes individually inh Photoshop. The ground is from the bottom image. Most of the sky was reconstructed from the top photograph, as it was horizontal, while the rest were vertical. The Air Force was nice enough to let us Navy boys go shoot their planes. When it flew over me, my whole body shook...so I stayed to shoot a few more. :)

I really like this shot. The color of the sky and clouds against the planes is great. You said this was a collage. Did you do that on film or on computer? I think I might like it a bit better without the fourth (Highest) plane in there. I does add lots of drama though. Just my 2 cents. Good job overall. -Scott
