This is another great flower composition of yours. I think my preference would be to have it slightly less dark. I don't mean to get rid of the shadows, because the curved lines they create are very nice and really enhance the composition. Maybe just a touch more light from the right? This looks like natural light. I am wondering out loud...do you suppose holding a makeshift foil reflector on the right to reflect natural light would work? that might still retain the natural feel of the light and lighten up the right a bit? I'm not sure...I am still learning...but I think I might try that...i am trying to figure out in my own work, ways to use challenging natural light to my advantage without resorting to flash...glad you posted this...tis made me think a bit...

I like the colour saturation you got with this shot--a little soft maybe, but I know it's hard to get macro shots crisp in all areas of the frame!
